do you think this is a good excuse for not having to go somewhere? for the most part its not true.
"i cant go because my dad has to go out of town for a conference and we(me and my sisters) have to go with him because my mom has to go out of town also for my grandmas birthday."

If you make up a big lie and start saying all this stuff, it is easy to tell you are lying, and there are holes in the story. If I were you I would keep it too, "I already have plans with parents, and you know how they are *eye roll*". That way, it'll be like you are embarrassed enough to be with your parents doing something and they won't ask for details. Then say something like "Maybe next time, I'm sorry" if they look disappointed.

that is just a stupid excuse. u should say um.... my dad and mom are going out of town and taking us with them because my grandma is sick or something. In my opinion that's better. Good Luck!

it's ok but b/c it's so long and complicated it makes it sound like u do nt wanna go so just say smtn like,
my family's goin to see my grandma, im sry.
Or you could say smtn like
I would but im grounded b/c my room wuznt clean, my parents are so retarded.
