With a show that good and addictive, why would you promise yourself not to watch it? Treat yourself and don't feel guilty about the pleasure! It never hurts to look at such gorgeous people with dirt on their faces. Come on, it's well written (or you wouldn't care so much about the characters) and you can't help being in awe of the locations. If I were going to be stranded anywhere, I'd want it to be Maui!!!

I was a late follower of Lost. I didn't like the hype at first and thought it was a reality show!!! honest... i had no idea what was going on and it seemed like the same people who liked BB were rattling about it like they knew what it was about...
i have a feeling that people followed the early hype for the sake of following it.
I followed fashionably late i hope. ran through both seasons within a month! It's an incredibly deep, philosophical experiment of a show that has a creative balance that i don't see very often in television. You have the restrictive set of the island (which has become more diverse then I could imagine myself) and you have very interesting background stories which can come from anywhere. a lot of creative freedom that makes us curious and want more.

I used to think it was a great show but whoever sets up the viewing times screwed it for me. They would show a new Lost and the next week the same one was on again, or they would show about three weeks of reruns. Even with the TV guide no one ever knew when a new one was going to be on. Also, the plot is getting stupid. At the end of each year they say all will be reveled, but it never is. I thought Invasion was a better show but they cancelled it.

because there are so many stories all entwined with each other! and plus, it goes in such a weird direction that you have to know if it ever rights itself? and plus everyone is waiting to find out if they get off the island and what the NUMBERS mean! it's driving me crazy! plus it's a bit like big brother and you get to see the relationships that form. Mr Eko and Charlie are a seriously unlikely pair but they're also extremely interesting to watch, And seeing how everyone has a really interesting past. And i love it when you see airport clips and one of the others is in someone's flashback. hehe

Because you haven't fugured out yet that you only need to see the the last part of the episode to get the gist of what happened in current one and what will happen in the next one

My husband says I need the 12 step program to stop watching it. He is on the other hand very annoyed with it. He can't figure it out.

Extremely. I especially hate the ad breaks, which always come in annoying places to make you keep watching. I heard somewhere they were plans to drag it on for seven series... I hope its not THAT addictive...

I don't think it's addictive. I liked the first few episodes then it got to far out for me. I think it depends on what you like. If I was addicted to any tv program it was Star Trek Voyager. Many people didn't like that show. Like I said I think it's just a matter of what you like and what holds your interests.

I think it's only addictive if you have watched it from the start. It is hard show to just jump into. It is confusing.
