I am a black girl dating a white guy and I get dirty looks from white women, black guys....the whole lot. I think its just a human thing. Maybe they want him or maybe they are jealous and wanna be in your place.Don´t think about it and soon enough you will stop seeing it.
Sometimes when we look so much for something we end up finding what we don´t want to.

I'm a black woman. I know exactly what you're talking about with the dirty looks from black woman thing. Personally, I don't feel the need to do the dirty looks thing, for several reasons - namely, who someone dates or doesn't date is none of my business. Also, I believe the 'dirty looks' thing is very immature behavior. I also think black women who participate in that kind of behavior aren't feeling very secure within themselves, or they wouldn't be trying to give interracial couples a difficult time.
Personally, I find the 'good black man' shortage a little amusing. Love isn't limited to one color - it's universal and not limited to a particular color.
Because you seem to have experienced the dirty looks thing alot, I think you're starting to expect it to happen. My advice to you is try to stop focusing so much on the dirty looks issue. Think about it, you wouldn't be seeing the dirty looks (as much) if you weren't looking for them. When you're out with your guy, just enjoy the fact that you're having a nice time together and forget the people who would try to drag you down with their behavior. Who you're with is none of their business. An intelligent, self-confident black woman would never engage in such stupid behavior.

I have yet to see it. I think that it use to be thecase. But i do not think we really care any more. imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery. If you look at the stats, black women with white men is the fastest growing interracial group, up 68% just in the last three years.
Too goo, I got that article too in a e mail. Sistah to sistah, we are coveted all over the world. So why would we trip over a white woman with a black man.
I was trying to be nice, but if you really want to know the truth, here it is. When I met my current fiancee, he has "associated" with white women. I asked him the difference. He said that black women make you work for it and white women do not. He said a lot of other things. You see asker, black women are strong, beautiful, and yes VIRTUOUS!!! We are WIVES and NOT girlfriends!! We are respected mothers and not the baby mamas that you hear about. We could care less who you date. To be honest, most black men have "associated" with a white woman. But when it comes down to making a home, he comes to us. Another thing, you are flattering yourself. The imitation has always came from your side and not mine. I will say something else honestly...most of the time when a black man is with a white woman, he has a black woman on the side. Yes, it is 2006, and we are stronger, educated, and more beautiful than ever. You are not getting dirty looks sweetie, I think that you would like to, but honestly we do not care. unlike too good, I welcome any comments that you want to make. Andreswifey@cashette.com. No too good does not need to calm down because I think that she is on to some thing. I think that you are looking for attention and just like those imaginary women giving you the dirty looks, we are not going to give it to ya.

I would not be one of those people. As for the others, I can't speak for them. My sister was dating her current husband while living in Germany, and she got dirty looks from Black Men, in Germany! It happens everywhere, and even though it's 2006, some people who were around in 1940 are still around.

Well as a black women, if you see a black man with a white women, you realize that you aren't even desired by your own race. Black women face a terrible postition being one of the most undesired races in the world. Most black women feel inadequate, ugly, and become bitter when they see a black man with a white women. And it is with just cause.
Most black men with white women show them off as if they are saying, "Look I got myself a White woman." A white woman is a trophy and a black woman is what you take when you can't get a white woman. Often, black women have a behavior that is rather crude or loud. Sometimes black men desire a more mousy white women who won't nag them as much. Also, white women are considered beautiful and angelic like. They are the untouchable.
I consider myself to be muti-racial, but I can't deny the black in me. I basically only date white men because I don't like most black men. Like the black women they are commonly ghetto, speak ebonics, and unlike the black women they don't want to get off their butts and make something of themselves. Not to mention I don't like the way black men look, I don't like dark skin or the features of black men. It might be hard to digest, but I'm just being honest. I hate my nappy hair and I'm sure most black men do too. I am lucky because I find white men that love me the way I am and that appreciate me and aren't just settleling. I am also lucky because I don't look black. I find that black men look and hit on me more because of the way I look when other black women I see get ignored. The black men that don't want white women want their black women bright, light, and almost white. It is sad but true. I hope one day the world will change.
