A tiger is a wild creature, and can be unpredictable. Even if raised from birth as a domestic creature, a wild animal can (and most likely will) turn on you.

Cats that grow to weigh as much or more as a grown man. They eat fresh meats, and need constant attention. They need a HUGE amount of space to play (keeping a tiger as an indoor pet is like stuffing YOU in a closet to live), and most people can't give them that. Even zoo's don't create a large enough space for a wild animal to live in.

Wanting one for a pet is one thing- but actually taking one of these animals and making it into a pet is irresponsible, and cruel.

no they are exotic animals. Nobody should own a tiger. They live in soitaire and are hunters. They also have their own terriotry that covers miles and miles. Only a few peepz have owned them and they were highly trained. Remember when that one circus guy was attacked by his white tiger. They could take a man out with one swipe of his paw.

Who are we to decide what animal will make a good pet? If you think about it the animals tend to choose their owners. Think for a minute, If you have a dog or cat in your home, watch which person or persons the animal spends the most time with by choose. My boyfriend and I have a cat, It was supposed to be my pet, but the cat spends most of his time with my boyfriend. But if you take the time to learn how to care for the animal, including what it eats and needs for housing and other supplies then go for it. Just make you have the time and the energy it will take to care for the animal. That goes for any animal whether demestic or wild.

yes, if you train it, have the EXTENSIVE amount of money needed, and big enough property, have proper training in how to lookafter, train, and handle a tiger without getting your head bitten off, have the means of getting the massive amount of food he will require, know what kind of food and suppliments are needed, and have a good outdoor incloser design with a double door entry, (don't even THINK about keeping it inside all the time with no outdoor encloser!) then yes, it would be a good pet. but forget vacations, or leaving for more than 24 hours, go to www.exoticcatz.com , then consider getting one.

Sigfried and Roy sure found out that they weren't. Tigers are wild and dangerous animals that can not be domesticated. This would make them bad pets...if you consider your pet eating you to be bad that is.

No wild animal should be held captive, for the sake of the animal and for the safety of humans because if the tigher does what nature has breed into them for millions of years and hurts someone the animal is the one that will have to pay the price DEATH
