I found it rather funny the other day wile listining to the radio.
And a station was playing some simon and garfunkel and rembered all the words.

Well, I'm 52, so that may throw your curve off a little bit, as far as polling, but they listened to whatever was on the radio. Actually, mama wasn't a music person, but daddy loved all kinds of music. Of course back then there were only two kinds of music -country and western. And, yes, I still remember a lot of it. In fact, I enjoy listening to the local classic country station. It brings back a lot of good memories.

when I was a kid ( about 4 or five years old, my mother use to play the piano and sing for me standing by and I did not want her to stop. This was in 1945 and of course she use to sing the songs of the time and those of the 30's... She is now resting in peace. Bless her soul. But several years after that, I belong to a group of performers who did shows for the elderly and I decided to do one of her songs !!!
It was a very emotional experience but it did help me heal my loss. While she was alive, I never wanted to sing because I was too shy! She never has heard or seen me perform, but I know she would be so proud of me. I did remember the words. over 50 years after)..

Yes I remember most of it. Dad listened to R&B and mom listened to what now would be considered Pop music.Every Saturday morning me and dad watched the Soul Train....I loved that when I was little. He let me eat candy for breakfast too.

My mom and dad used to listen to Hank Williams, Sr. and yes I do remember the words to the songs because I have one of his greatest hits CD! It will always take me back to the good ole' days when both my parents were still here!!!

My Dad loved Frank Sinatra
I have a couple of his Cd's when I am feeling nostalgic and want to remember my Dad I listen to them.
My Mom listened to her 50's music and I know almost all of those songs, we still listen to them with my kids now, there friends don't even know who Frank Sinatra is!

My parents listened to Chaka Khan, Betty Wright, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and the likes...That was some good music and I sing those old hits whenever I hear them and sometimes when I don't hear them.

My dad was big into Black Sabbath, Elton John and stuff like that. I remember all the words, mostly because it's the same stuff I listen to now!
