Add 3 minutes to get you to 8:30 (You are at 7 hours 3 min. now.)
Then ad 30 minutes to get you to 9:00 (You have 7 hours and 33 minutes now)
Add 14 more min. to get you to 9:14. (7 hours plus 33 + 14 miutes is 7 hours and 47 Min.)
7 hours 47 Minutes. (Assuming he started and finished ini either AM or PM...if he started in the AM and finished in the PM you sshould as 12 hours.)
