Yes it's possible. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. You can do whatever you put your mind to. The trick is to find some exercise activities that you enjoy and do them as much as you can. Try to work your way up to 45-60 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week. Incorporate some resistance training/weight lifting 2-3 times a week for 25-30 minutes each session. Steer clear of fried foods. Avoid the carbs as much as possible. Find alternatives to sugary snacks. Drink water--not soda or sweetened fruit juices. Eat your vegetables and fruits and stick with lean meats, preferably chicken and fish. Decrease salt intake. Be patient. Be prayerful. And always keep your head up because regardless of how you look on the outside...your true beauty comes from within. That hourglass is still there but it doesn't define you. Hang in there and just do it! You can do it! GO! GO! GO!

I did it minus about 1/2 a stone. I started off buy buying a smoothie makers and have a smoothie in place of breakfast and lunch and had normal dinners. Got some smoothie recipies of the internet and stuck to it. within 4 weeks I had already lost 12 lbs, combined with walking the dogs an hour a day I really toned up nicely.
I have to laugh now though I did all that hard work and I am now pregnant with baby number 2.

You can do anything you put your mind to. Check with your Dr before starting an exercise routine. You can start with walking or swimming which are low impact. Try to eat healthy and you are on the right track. Diets dont work, just eat small meals frequently and everything in moderation. You will be a good example for your kids if you are healthy and happy.

Yes. But unless you have a full time nanny, personal trainer, nutritionist and chief it's going to going to take EVERY moment of your day.

Once you're over 30 you metabolism starts slowing down whether you like it or not, so you're going to have to work damned hard to get results. We're talking hours of cardio, weights, flexibility work a day, plus serious calorie counting and meal planning. It's really not going to happen unless you give up every other obligation you have in your life (kids, work, husband, social life) and focus on nothing but re-shaping yourself for the next year.

You're better off going to your local gym and having a few personal training sessions. Chat to the staff about what time you have, what you want to achieve and find a compromise. I'm not suggesting you give up on your ambition, but maybe modify it a little.

Learn to work with this new phase in your life, rather than trying to reclaim an old one.

Yeah, that's easy to say, but difficult to do!

Good luck.

Yes it is. Eat mainly fruit and veg with a little protein and a little carbohydrate. Eat only when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Eat as much as you feel you need and do not count calories. Get as much exercise as you can (I know it may be hard with 3 kids, can you put 2 of them in a double buggy and walk miles with it?) Good luck.

You can lose the weight and tone up everything as much as you can but it certain instances like those of us that have had c sections there is no possible way to get that truly flat stomach without surgery........ beleive me ive tryed all that can be tryed but surgery is the only option i have left for my lower abdomen!...... so i am just learning to live with it...the thing that i think of is that without the changes i would not have my children and i love them to bits!!! so its worth every stretch mark and the saggy stomach! they are definately worth it!

of course. it's going to be difficult, tho, im not going to lie. im guessing that since you want the hourglass figure, you have a lot of flab concentrated in the middle? trust me, my mother lost like thirty pounds, and it all dropped from her thighs and butt. her middle is still the same. but it might also be due to the fact that she was running/walking, and not doing crunches. so you might want to think about that! do a lotta things that'll work the middle. not just the legs.

Yes!!!! I have the same problem and am working my **** off and it works. Lots of exercise and just be sensible about what you eat. The best is when you involve your kids in the exercise and then it becomes fun and family bonding too.

make sure you exercise burn off more calories than you take in don,t sit to long and do sit ups and other stomach toning exercise and gentle running, If you get the bug aim for a half marathon. I know its hard to make the effort with screaming kids around, Don,t leave it to late other wise it gets harder to tone the skin. good luck.

Hey, where there's a will there's a way! I am a strong believer that you can achieve your goal. Anyone can. You just cannot be detoured by peoples statements, opinions, or the progress that someone else is making. Just keep your head up and your calories down. YOU.CAN .DO. IT!
