Bumpers are fine. As long as you have them tied properly to the crib.. no problem. Just watch and see what your baby does with the bumpers. My son has had them in his crib since birth... and I still use them at 13 months. He rolls all over the place when sleeping and it keeps his little head from banging around. When you see that they are using the bumpers to climb out of the crib... you remove them.

I have two months before my baby is born and I already bought a bumper for his crib. The bumper is used to prevent your baby from hurting himself/herself. However, up to a certain age, the bumper should be removed.

At this age I would take the bumpers away. He could use them to try to climb out of the crib or get tangled in his rolling.

You should not have bumpers in the crib after your child is able to pull himself up so that he cannot use it to try and climb out. Some safety reports say they are also suffocation dangers, and you should make sure to tighten and trim the strings.

Of course it's ok, but I never used crib bumpers for any one of my 3 children. Their a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

Thats exactly how my son is too!! I was scared he would hurt himself, especially bumping his head, so i am using the bumpers now as well. Its just makes the crib more safer and give me a peace of mind.

Yes..that is what bumpers are made for. They are to cushion your childs head and body if he happens to hit the crib. He won't get tangled in them and yes it is a great idea to use them so you won't wake up to him shrieking because he hit his head or any other body part on the side of the crib

I used a thread and needle to sew the store bought bumper pads to have more tie ups (one every 2 bars) then I knotted them in place and cut the extra off to prevent choking/strangulation.

I have used them since the first time my baby ever went in his crib. They are safe as long as they are tied tight enough.I had to take them out at 12 mths because he pulled on them and tryed taking it off.
