its hard! i went out with a girl 4 11 years & she kept putting on the pounds. i still loved her but my mates used 2 make snide remarks so i got rid of my mates, as the years went by her health suffered & i started 2 worry about her but she wouldn,t eat properly or do exercise at all. we split up in the end (she started seeing some1 else) but i wish i/she made more of an effort

Nope. Would have that more to love if she gained weight. But if she was to become obese then would talk with her and mention that for her own health that she would be wise to try and lose some pounds. Funny thing is that both my fiance and I gained weight after meeting each other and are now both just starting to lose a little after 3 years. Usually works other way around, try and look your best for each other at first and then gain later. Strange but true.

A quick and decisive N.O!! I'm still going to love him when he's bald and wrinkly and smells funny. :).
I would have to agree that chubby, in my humble opinion, isn't so bad,but if any of your loved ones needs some encouragement to maintain their health you should certainly offer your support. None of us want diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, or any of the other nasty problems that are made worse by weight. Course it doesn't help that 90% of the food out there is processed and has to much sugar and salt. :P

No i would be worried about her health and start a diet myself and join a gym. in the hope that she would join me. That's what i would do as a man. If i was getting fat i would expect my lady to say get in shape or F..k off. Well my be a bit harsh. Humour first

My husband also has put weight on it's not the physical apperance that puts us off it's the changes in personality that can change.

NO that is mean. So that means you only fell in love with her or love her because she's thin? That;s shallow man! You can tell her nicly that you would like her to be healthy and eat healthy. Maybe you both could work out together. Talk to her.

Absolutely not, I'm neither shallow or spiteful, I love my husband so much and will do forever no matter what his size is, he will still be the man I married, body size has no effect on my love.

I might be able to overlook a few extra pounds but never mind getting fat, what if she got older?

I think there is more to a relationship than just attraction. As time goes by, the relationship goes stronger, and you don't just fancy your partner - you will care for him/her in every way you can.

no, but i would be concerned about health issues, as you do want to grow old with this person. don't push it, however, but try to gently encourage them to eat healthier, and join you in some exercise. if they lose weight, it will be their own decision. you can't force anyone to shed pounds by using guilt, threats, or hurtful words. other than offering encouragement, just keep on loving them.
