It depends if you are patient to wait for a PS3 and don't mind paying up to £500 for one. Plus you may not even get one when they are released because Sony haven't been able to make enough. Even fewer than the number of Xbox 360's that were released. By the time PS3 is released the 360 will already have lots of games and good offers and bundles available in shops.
Or a third more original choice could be the Nintendo Wii?

get the xbox 360 the ps3 will be dead in the water by christmas as the 360 has got 10+ new games coming out before then.
The ps3 uses the same graphics system as the 360 but with a difference they are less defined

The PS3 is slightly more powerful,but its power is in floating vector units, which is good for making great looking CGI images, ala Killzone, but actuallu game footage will be on par with the 360, and i belive to PS3 AI and real time rendering is going to relatively poorm die to the built in hardware restrictions. I would Go 360 now, its a great console, but its all down to what games you really want to play.

PS3 games may not be the cheapest stuff out there, but they are surely the most hyped. People who want copies of PS3 games but are not willing to shell out big bucks might have to wait a bit longer. Games and technologies do depreciate

if your in London they have now put the release date for ps3 back until march so if i was u i would but the xbox now then sell on e-bay closer to release date that way you will get approx half a years use out if...... but the ps3 does look and sound the part so if the above does not appeal then wait!!!!

i have been with Sony ever since PS1 and will never use an xbox Sony will always beat xbox and the reason for this is quite basic really see Sony are a Japanese company who have made all the best electronics for the home for over 25 years Sony is the name and PlayStation is the best form of console ever designed and always will be keep eyes on Sony for next generation PlayStation out in next 5 years featuring virtual reality drive with full headset basically Microsoft xbox will never beat Sony PS because quite simply Sony is console king Microsoft are the PC kings example windows xp Microsoft should stick to PCs and get out of Sony's kingdom the home console or Sony will strike back with an all new Sony home PC operating system so watch out bill gates!

waaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt the PS3 will be so much better than the 360 you might as well save the money and put it to better use like buying the PS3 when it (eventualy) comes out
