The WORST part of the Sims 2 is that you have to have a very updated machine to be able to run all the expansion packs as they should be run. Especially if you like to build awesome decorated houses and complicated games.

The GOOD stuff is that the game is so unlimited. You are only shackled by your imagination or lack of time. :) You can build just about an kind of dream house, or create imaginary scenarios with your Sims. You can play challenges, or make movies. Learn how to operate the camera. Pull off wierd abduction and genetics experiments on your poor sims. You get to be director, judge, jury and executioner or god. :) (It also teaches people a lot about their computers, lol)

As to downloads and objects. since I'm an experienced computer user and have played Sim games for years, I don't have problems with downloads. They need to be enabled, you sometimes need to have meshes. You also sometimes need to have CEP in your game (another download) as well as a file checker.

The best way to learn all that is to be a member of the Official forum (register your game to do that) and also be a member of (free site) ModtheSims2
