I know the two are very similar and that communism is the most extreme. Can you please explain the different types of societies (i.e. capitalist, communist, socialist, etc.) and please explain the differences between them. Thanks in advance.

True Communism has not and does not currently exist anywhere in the world. And really, most of us would not be very happy in that kind of a society. We really don't like to share with one another to that extent.

Socialism of one form or another exists in nearly every country, including ours. The governments at all levels in this country offer a variety of social programs aimed at serving the needs and greater good of our local, state and national communities.

There really isn't anything wrong with controlled socialism. We really should want to collectively care about the people in our society and the infrastructure that makes up this great nation.

Sadly, there are too many people that think socialism is simply some lazy dude sticking his hand out and asking for their hard earned money. In truth there are people with an entitlement addiction, but the vast majority of Americans benefit from social programs.

It's too bad that the government's most well funded program is a gigantic military machine.

Communist---- Government owns everything.
Socialist- People own but Government controls.
Capitalist-- The people own everything. The people control the Government.

Because of Socialism, Western Europe countries will be Third World Nations in twenty years.

Socialist has group (central govt) property ownership of production and manufacturing, so farms, mines, factories, utilities, etc.

Communist has group (community) ownership of all property.

Capitalism has individual ownership of all property.
