Simple Answer:
Your Hard Disk is in bad shape. And in case you want to save your data on that disk. Disconnect the Harddisk (take help of someone who knows how to do this) and connect it back as secondary hard disk on another working machine, you should be able to retrive most of your data.
Geeky Answer:
Don't understand why you're not able to press F2 to enter BIOS setup. Your BIOS might have different HotKeys for that, try 'DEL' or F10 as well. And do not keep that button pressed while it's booting, continuous pressing of that button should result in 'Keyboard Error' in Boot sequence.
From the error message it sounds like you've landed with bad sectors on the HDD, you're better of taking out data by using it as secondary HDD on a different machine.
In case you're expert in computer related stuff, you could try booting using CD based boot OS like Gnoppix / Ubuntu. You could boot with them, access your HDD data and transfer it over USB / Network and only then you can attempt to reformat the HDD and see if that's still usable.
Disclaimer: Any attempt to reinstall OS / reformat should result in Data Loss. Any action of reader that results in data loss is completely his/her own responsibility.

Its surly a virus.........same thing happened with mine few Weeks ago......i think only the c:/ ( drive which has the operating system ) will me formatted and data will be lost......the boot records have been eaten by the virus so operating system cannot load. This problem can be solved with the help of a fresh hard disk with installed operating system and a good anti virus (updated)....u can plug in the old hard disk when the PC booted and get the virus scan......and u can retrieve the needed files..

First up I'd try booting into the Last Known Good configuration which might fix the problem:
http://www.xmission.com/~comphope/issues/ch000626.htm
Next thing to try is a Repair Install of Windows which might fix your OS up and let you keep all your files and installed applications:
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=138
If that fails then you'll need to do a full reinstall of Windows, which is almost guaranteed to fix any issues but will wipe your hard drive clean and you'll lose everything on your computer:

When the computer is starting up try pressing F8 (keep pressing it until you see either the dos screen or the start up options) as it is starting, this will bring up start up options, try the different start up options to see if anything works out for you, I recommend using safe mode first if it is possible. It might be a corruption of the operating system, or possibly a hard drive failure. However it might be something easier, what operating system and brand of computer are you using?

I'm assuming you are using a windows based PC and not a MAC.
The boot files in Windows are probably corrupt somehow. You should be able to reinstall windows without losing any of your other data.

It looks like your hard disk is corrupted. Bad sectors on your hard disk could make this type of problem and Windows fails to boot. Go to a data recovery center, ask to repair your hard disk and recover data. It might help.

You will lose everything on your computer if you reformat! Not sure but it sounds like the hard drive crashed (died) If that happened you lust it all. Unless of course you backed everything up! May not be the hard drive though!
