If your a friend of a friend and you're meeting, it's fine, at my school, we weren't aloud to give "frontal hugs" and I think, isn't a hug from behind a bit gay and a little more awkward? Anyways, you may just live in a warmfuzzy town.

I remember giving hugs to my friends in middle school, for some reason that was the thing then? But to people I didn't know, no, I didn't for that matter.

I would steer my kids away from hugging anyone at school. Lice is very contagious and a real pain to try to eliminate. Be careful
