something really supportive.
go to one of the department stores in the mall, and look for bras in boxes. i had a friend who was DD in high school, and thats where she would always go. she would get upset because they weren't as cute as the smaller bras, but they're supportive, and thats what you really need.
ask a saleswoman for a suggestion. she'll know where to guide you, and how to tell if it fits properly and in the right place.
The only brand I know to tell you to look for is Playtex, but im sure there are tons and tons of others. but i have tiny boobs, so im sorry im not an expert, just live vicariously through bigger boobed friends. and thats what they did.
dont be afraid (or shy) to ask for suggestions. its thier job to help you, and theyre usually pretty good at it.

if you're in the UK, go to M & S or Debhanams who both offer fitting services and will recommend one. im a 36F and they got me a nice one.
i would suggest plain t shirt type bras because any patterm will show up through your top and im guessing that you dont want more attention drawn to your boobs.
make sure that the bra straps are wide and not too stretchy. if the straps are thin, they will dig into your shoulders leaving a red mark and if theyre stretchy, you will just hang low. if you want some sort of nipple 'discretion' then there are some nipple protectors on ebay which will stop your nipples poking out in the cold because very few large bras are padded.
i hope this helps!

I have size 34 DD as well and I often go for the plain, underwired ones which are not too low-cut (as your boobs spill out of it when you bend) - they give best support - Olga/ Bali/ Vanity Fair/ Lilyette - some of these have minimizers too - makes you look one size smaller. Also a wider strap eases the pain of heavy boobs as opposed to thin straps. Some straps have a gel-cushion.
I usually go to Macy's or Mervyn's (in California) and they also have bra fittings in Nordstorms/ Macy's.

A wired bra with straps.. Do not go for strapless bra as they do not offer support for the back... Also buy a comfortable bra not a tight fitted one.. Not a half cup bra that has half your breast falling.. a full cup is better..
Hope this helps.. I have a 36C & i understand how difficult & embarassing to have big bosom...

I know, it's really hard to find comfortable, pretty bras for well-endowed women. I'm 34DD, and there's like nothing. But Target actually has some really comfortable, full-coverage bras (gilligan o'mally) that are shaped nicely so that lines don't show and you don't look like your breasts are erupting from the cups. Oh, and they're really inexpensive. Also, try Maidenform.
