What does 3> (or something like that) mean? I don't get it.

<3 this is a symbol for a heart, or love on AIM, Myspace, or any other instant messenging service. People use it as a slang instead of having to type out love

Three is greater than, but if you mean <3 then it's a heart and means love...or it can mean less than 3.

In that particular configuration, it actually means LESS than 3 (the bigger part of the ">" is towards the 3, indicating it as the larger number). Old fogey me wouldn't know about the heart thing, but I'll take their word for it.

desiderio is right, it means less than 3. But if you're referring to internet lingo it's supposed to look like a heart. <3 Turn your head to the right, it resembles a heart, kinda. lol
