My children and I have been invited to a birthday party for my classmates 4 year old daughter. My classmate is Filipino and I wanted to try to acknowledge thier heritage. She told me not to bring food. What can I bring to say “Thank you for inviting us”?

After providing a gift for the birthday girl, hang out, be gracious and helpful. Bus some plates, pick up fallen items, etc. Show by your happiness that they've succeeded in making you welcome into their home. You may wish to invite the daughter for a playdate with your child, thus creating a step toward friendship.

Just allowing your daughter to be around other folks of different cultures is acknowledgement enough. I personally would give a gift card or flowers. Besides, they sound like very wonderful people. Y'all have fun!

Just chat with the parents and tell them how excited your daughter is for the party and how you appreciate the invitation. You don't need a present, thats actually kinda weird.

I assume you are bringing a gift for the child who is having a birthday, am I correct? In that instance, I don't believe another gift is required or even appropriate.

Girls are girls...forget about the heritage part of it and buy an age appropriate gift for a little girl. that wasn't hard. Good luck

it would be kinda awkward if they are attempting to "Americanize" and you brought them something from the Phillipines don't you think? Perhaps a small gift card or game that all the children could enjoy would be in order.

i'd deliver out an e mail to all human beings who attended the celebration, thanking them for the message e book. whether, every person who actual gave you a separate present would desire to receive a handwritten thank you notice.
