First, it was the Rolling Stones who did the cover. It was first recorded by the Flying Burrito Brothers. But I do know what you mean.

The song has been variously covered by the Sundays, Guns N' Roses, Bush, Labelle, The Lovemongers with Chris Cornell, Dave Matthews, Garbage, Alicia Keys and Adam Levine. Probably the one heard most often (and the one you may be thinking about) is the version by the Sundays.
