is it an older movie? it sounds like from your discription ----BEST OF THE BEST. its an old 80's early 90's movie. eric roberts is the lead actor. he has a son in the movie. And his shoulder is hurt. USA puts together a team. the cowboy, the hippie, roberts charater, and a chinese guy. In the end the chinese guy has to fight the bad chinese guy from the other team. turns out that--that other guy killed his brother in a fight a couple of years before. ooohh..yeah...james earl jones is the trainner or something like that.

I know that movie the best of the best it's an asian, african-american and carcuasian men are in there to fight and the asian dude fights and big guy and his arm gets messed up and he had the will to still fight even though his arm was broken and he got the gold medal and the trophy.
