the endless pursuit of power and self gratification with the massive accumulation of material items to signify that you are on the way to acheiving the dream - the endless backstabbing - power plays shock and awe campaigns to get it. Hitting below the belt - clobbering the competition mercilessly in the metaphisical or physical sence. A bunch of pitbulls tearing each other apart - a picture of that was put in adbusters magazine

it means what it always have. America had long since be view upon as the place of freedom and happiness by the rest of the world. there's so many oppurtinity here, it's a dream of a better life, that if you try hard, you can accomplish anything in America

I think it means the same thing it always did. Happiness. Everyone wants to be happy. In America it's easier to achievce because of all the freedoms we have. It depends on what makes you happy...in America you have the right and the freedom to achieve it...or do you?
