When I saw the headline of your question the first thing to pop into my mind was also 'Windmills Of Your Mind' - what a class song... and once it's in your head it just stays there, like a half forgot dream (see what I mean - that Legrand chappie has a lot to answer for!). How to describe that feeling of ending - that relationship-ending-without- you-quite-knowing-why feeling.

I did really like 'Once Upon A Time In America' - it was the first Soundtrack Album I bought that didn't just have pop songs included in a movie on it (S.N.F being the best selling example - bless those Glib Brothers).

Hans Zimmer does some pretty good 'movie music too - Pirates of Carribbean; Gladioli (sorry, Russell!!); Dave Inches Cold; Batman Beguiles, etc... Actually that Batman soundtrack is pretty cool.

But the soundtrack to Blade 3 'Trinity' is pretty cool, too.

Does 'Pink Floyd's - The Wall' count??? (hehehe) Coz if it does, I'd maybe have to say that.

Could go for any of the above, depending on mood/time of day/company

Ok - I'm kinda waffling on here, so I'll stop.

I always liked lord of the ring's music, especially the two towers album. It's not for everyone though. Star wars above the stars was a good song. Batman begins had a soundtrack I enjoyed. As did a few songs from the matrix trilogy.

The Union continually(White Stripes) & Citizen Kane properly there is often the Misty Mountain Hop & LOTR. yet another well-known is "Soma" via the Strokes, inspired via brave New worldwide. i think Im kinda cheating with the final 2 by using fact they have been inspired via the unconventional & no longer the movie. BQ: Scott Pilgrim vs. the worldwide BQ2: Kill bill Vol. 2 BQ3: "lady, you would be a girl quickly"- in Pulp Fiction precise till now Uma Thurman overdosed. BQ4: Jack White in chilly Mountain
