Freshman inquires !?

Question

Yesterday was my first day of pre-med school. I went to it and they gave us an orientation on our classes. I got my schedule and everything. The problem is that I'm worried that I won't remember where my classes are held. I'm feeling so nervous and scared. Is it OK to feel like this and I'm going to adjust just fine? Are people going to understand that it's my first day of school?What do you suggest that I do?

Grace, You were good enough to get in. What you are feeling about will I find my classrooms is normal. Just make sure you have a copy or two or three of your schedule --- with the classrooms. If you aren't sure if you're in the right place, don't feel shy about asking. I'm a professor and the first week or so of class I need to see my schedule to see what class & what classroom I should be in. If you think it's bad for a first day student to be in the wrong classroom, imagine what it's like for a teacher to start class and have another professor walk in!
Try to relax, and in a day or two when you are with your classmates you'll see you aren't the only nervous one. People will see it and try to help.

IT IS ABSOLUTIVELY NORMAL!!!
although I may be from another country (Romania), I kinda had a similar problem. and remember, there are different academical systems. but I managed to live through the first year. phew!
however, relax, you are not the only one. there are others like you (freshmen I mean). see if you can make friends among your colleagues. it is a lot easier and it will ease the tension.

Ask the staffers. They should help you, as for your schedule, make multiple copies and always keep one on your pocket. Thats how I remember my classes
