I'm not sure what other "monkeys" some people here are talking about, but I didn't "evolve" from any monkey. My ancestors came from the dirt of the ground and had the life of God breathed into them.
P.S. Evolution is a theory, not a fact.

Evolutionists believe that humans evolved from monkeys over a period of millions of years. However, the monkeys who are currently in the zoo are not necessarily the relatives of specific humans, just as all humans are members of the same species, but they are not all part of the same family tree.
Based on your logic, you could also conclude that your husband is really your brother. I don't think you want to go there.

No. My relatives are a chimp off the old block. They are quite happy at the zoo. All their freinds are there. They would go bananas if I were to take them away. I won't monkey around with what works. That might start gorilla warfare. Who knows what that might evolve into.

He he! People do not think we came FROM monkeys. Evolution is a theory based on the fact that we share common ancestory. Perhaps you should do some more research before you post a question like this. Though I am amused by your "zoo" joke!

ok, I sat here and tried to educate myself as others asked to do, but all i see is beating around the bush, different group of monkeys, not from monkeys but evolved from monkeys,, the word irrelevant is used alot, not necessarily,,,hmmm, and by the pics I remember seeing in grade school, that showed a monkey on all fours, then slowly learning to stand, then being a total upright man, tells me the theory is that we came FROM monkeys. sorry people, not me or mine!

Not relatives, ancestors. These chimps have nothing to do with us, they are a completely different species than the monkeys which evolved into humans.
