consistently when i pull up pages, only the background and advertisements on the top show, and the actual text doesn't load or takes forever [20/30minutes or more]. [often with lyric sites and the such, but others too]. i do have dsl and this seems to be a recent problem the past few weeks. very frustrating. please help? detailed answers a plus.

have antivirus and popup blocker. scans come up with nothing...

Maybe you need a new windows, because it seems you have a files corrupted by a virus or spyware.!

you seem to have a virus on your computer. delete any mysterious files and reinstall your internet. get a popup blocker.
