Yes , generally speaking they do. In North America we usually see the ruby-throated hummingbird and they migrate down along the gulf coast, Texas into Mexico and Central America. It is usually the young, old or sick that will stay along the gulf and not go all the way into Mexico or Central America.

Yes, here in Indiana they go south for the winter. I'm not sure which state they go to, maybe Florida.
