set up a wired or wireless network and hook the Internet to the router and each of the computers to the router either with a wireless card or with Ethernet wire from your existing nic card to the router

You have two options. one is to use a router before connecting it to either of your computer. another is to use another network device to connect your other computer via peer to peer. for example. use a crossover Ethernet cable or a pair of wireless cards and share your broad band's internet connection.

get a router and an ethernet cable. the instalation is different with different brand but the instructions are fairly straight forward. My husband did it (and he is not a computer geek) for us cuz he doesn't like my "junk" on his computer.

use a second network card and directly connect them to each other then bridge the connections or use a netork switch
there cheap and also create a network
u can also connect alot more then just 2 computers to it
