Since the Republicans control the House and the Senate, the democrats can't get the votes to defund it. That is why the Dems are wanting their power back in November.

Because don't just want the war to end and despite what Republicans want everyone to believe, they support the troops. Almost all democrats support a gradual withdrawal from iraq, just as the majority of Americans do, but that it should not be done all at once.

It is complicated; nothing is black and white

Stuart, once again you honor us with your stupidity. If you democrats had a spine, you'd be worth something, but you don't. And you obviously have no clue what the war is about. If our leaders were after money, they wouldn't be fighting over foreign oil, they'd be putting thier efforts in controlling ethonal.
Also, congress probably won't be dominated like the repubs have it now, it'll probably be more neutral if anything. Dems will probably have the presidency and screw up our military like clinton did, i.e. poor armor and such......

This would be a disaster and they know it. All the democrats do is criticize the Buch white house, as they have no answers and have not had a new idea since 1965.

Well, we do have troops there. It would be hard to justify hurting them.

I believe they want to slowly withdrawal the troops while bringing the Iraqis deadlines to meet for that to happen. Bush isn't setting that up and wants to stay there indefinitely.

We seem to be stuck in this mess, thanks to the Neocon adventurists that pushed the Bush administration in this direction.
I don't think its just Democrats that getting fed up either.
Lets see how the House and Senate races fare in November.

After 2 stolen elections and a war started under fales pretenses, I am thinking we need to let the Republicans try to fix it. If they wanted all this power so badly, let them wield it.

Oh, come now Shizzy, you're smart enough to figure that one out aren't you? If the Democrats didn't give their 'yeas' on defense budgets high asking price, the Republicans could label them 'soft on terrorism' and they don't want that rap, because it's untrue.

They publicly bash the war but privately they all voted to support and fund it.

You know, go ahead and drink your shiraz (Goat Piss Wine) and chuckle. Come November, we'll have control, and then you repugnicans will be crying about losing out on your oil deal in Iraq and Iran, and your moron of a boss W will be looking for a cold day in hell so he can lie to us some more. He'll be lucky if he's not impeached AND brought up on felony murder charges.
