Don't worry about the underclasses. Think of the super-rich, George W. Bush's constituency!
And why do you think Tony Blair is such a good buddy of W? He and his lovely barrister wife are going to be made fabulously rich just as soon as Bush and Blair are retired from power.

Maybe a better question might be. If people from other countries think America is so bad, why have they been lining up for years to get passage to America ?
People from all over the world love to put America down, but they sure do want to live here. In our mid-West we have millions from Sweden and Norway. If it's so bad here, and so good in Europe why don't you convince them to return ?
As for forcing the world to live like us, I didn't know we were forcing anybody to do anything. How exactly are we trying to force anyone to live like us ? You have a great imagination, but not many facts.

We are not forcing the world to live like us.
(How do the stats look in the rest of the world..outside of Europe I mean)
Looking at the following numbers crime in the USA is LESS than most European countries.

I don't believe we are trying to make everyone else live like we do. Everything we do is made public because so many people seek the "AMERICAN DREAM", and we are constantly being watched by the rest of the world. We are just letting people know how we live so maybe they will stay in the country the live in. We have a bad immagration problem and the U.S. is becoming way overpopulated because so many people are wanting the American way of life.

As an American citizen I really don't want you to have terrible crime or health statistics...other than fighting a war in Iraq, I don't know that we're interfering in the internal affairs of other countries like you suggest by your question. Live like you want to live, wherever that is and be happy that your crime rate is low and you're healthy. If you don't like us, you don't have to bother to visit or call.

I am an American and I don't try and force the world to live like me. My lifestyle isn't perfect but works for me and I'm educated enough to understand that what works for me doesn't necessarily work for every other person; even in my own country. I am a Segregationist, something allowed me since I live in a country where political freedom is important, and don't believe we should be spending all the money we do fighting other peoples' war for them. My ideals are known by my elected officials because I write my Congressmen and Legislators often with my kudos and complaints, alike. I can't help that my Federal Government sometimes does 'as it sees fit' in spite of my escalating concerns over their choices. All I can do is to make my choices when elections roll around and hope for the best.

DUH ! . . . Because we don't want any other country to try to force us to live like them. . . . Seriously . . . I don't think we do. We may be places where some people think we shouldn't be and for reasons we shouldn't be there, but its certainly not to "Americanize" them. By and large, we are good people, that live in a very good country. If you don't like us or don't approve of us, no problem . . . . . our immigration statistics prove there are an awful lot of people who don't share your opinion. I find it interesting that you didn't indicate what country you're from, unless, of course, doing so would make it obvious that your crime rate and health statistics are far more "terrible" than ours !

Svenska: Have you had any S.W.A.T. members from the United States knocking down you doors lately??????Has the U.S. dropped any bombs on Sweden lately????My great-grandparents emigrated from Goteberg, Sweden and they came here for a reason. The United States is a social and economic experiment that is 200+ years old. I don't tell anyone to be like the United States, we have many problems we're working on, just as other countries have problems. Don't even try to tell me you agree with every Swedish politician in power, because I won't believe you.

Wow! What an ignorant and illogical question. None of us want the world to live "like us" in EVERY way. We want the world to have freedom of religion and of press, and freedom to vote. Same things you want in Sweden, no? None of us has ever said we want the world to have our heal care costs, or crime rate. God, how inane.
