honestly yes. i've been a fan since the first time i watched his way with the animals. he was so intune to them, kinda like dr. doolittle.
the thing that is most upsetting is that my daughter, who is just discovering the animal planet(she's almost 2) will not be able to watch him and learn that animals are not to be frightened of.
thanks for the knowledge steve, rest in peace!

He was a pretty cool guy. My seven year old son really took his death hard. He came up and told me about it and just burst into tears. I felt horrible for him. Steve Erwin really educated both children and adults about animals, and how they needed to be respected.
It's very sad that his two small children won't know their daddy, and my heart goes out to his wife. I also seen his dad in an interview, and I just felt for that man.
I haven't heard all the details, but I certainly hope he didn't suffer. I guess not too many people actually died doing what they loved, but we can certainly say Mr. Erwin did. He will be missed, and I don't think they'll ever find anyone else that could teach the world about animals with the same enthusiasm as he did.

I am not going to miss him because I do not know him. Since his death I never realized how much of his time and money he dedicated to animals. I will send my thoughts and prayers to his family. I am sure we will still be able to see his shows. He will live on in the hearts of the people who loved him.
