In quantum physics this paradox is solved by assuming that there are infinitely many parallel worlds. So if you were able to travel back in time and do things, you would not affect the future that you came. This is because you landed in a universe that does not eventually become the one you left; and do to your presence it will gradually start to diverge away from your original universe.

Time is the line upon which all things occur. It allows movement. Think about something moving at all without time. My personal theory is that time is the first dimension. That line is needed to have even the first dimension located. From there.....think about anything having a sequence and time is necessary.
Time travel is taking place right now in the proper direction. Any other time travel is not possible in my opinion. Time viewing may be possible at a future date but not physical travel.

Einstein says it's possible. I agree (lol). You cannot travel trought time, but you can make time goes faster or slower than for other people. At the speed of light, the time will be very slow. If you go on a travel at the speed of light for 2 years, when you come back, everyone will be 20 years old, and you only 2. This is the relative theory of einstein, and it's true. The astronauts when come to earth have they'r watchs (high precision) 2 seconds diference than we have on earth, because of the high speeds. 2 Seconds is nothing, but at higher speeds, this 2 seconds would become 20 minuts, or 20 hours, or 20 months... So, if you want to go to the future, you have to go and fly at the speed of light for 3 ou 4 years, and come back to earth to see your kids when they'r 90 years old, and you only on 30's...
is this time traveling? it's relative.

Time is NOT a natural feature of the universe. Time is nothing more substantial than a concept that's been unconsciously invented by our species to separate events. There's no Cosmic Master Clock by which all other clocks in the universe should be synchronized. Therefore, time travel--in the context of physically moving back and forth in "time"--isn't possible.

Einstein once said, "The relativistic analogy can be carried to its logical end. Since time begins to slow down with higher speeds,it can be shown that at the speed of light it stops totally and beyond that begins to run backwards! Similarly, matter having contracted more and more, ultimately vanishes. But Beyond the speed of light it is difficult to imagine negative matter with infinite mass."
In other words it is "theoretically" possible if one could achieve a speed in excess of the speed of light, but anything traveling faster than the speed of light would disintegrate and cease to exist.

You are traveling through time right now. So, time travel IS possible. Going back in time is a different question...

Time travel is entirely possible. Why, I just traveled a minute into the future just answering this question.

Time travel is impossible because its not travellling to another place but another time. It has already past and the only way to go back in time is to go through a wormhole or get a Delorean.

My astronomy Prof. said that they (scientists) believe that time bends. He said that instead of only 3 demensions, there are actually more like seven. He said that if people were able to go within the elipsis, which surrounds a black hole, that they believe they would time travel.

Time Travel is very possible. We travel into the future everyday. And here is something to think about. The past was the future at one time.People had no problem traveling into it.So then can we travel into the past?Yes...Nothing is impossible.
