I lived in China for 11 years and rarely saw teens whose face grew pimples, why is that? I mean shouldn't it be the opposite due to pollution? Many people say that pimples have nothing to do with diet....

I think it has everything to do with diet.

Think about what Americans drink more of... cokes...

Drinking lots of water helps clear up your skin.

Another thing.... fish! Eating fish supposedly helps your skin's clarity and glow. Salmon especially. Many stars' dietitians tell them to drink water and eat fish for a natural, healthy glow...

Chinese people eat healthy... sushi and drink tea which is majorly water based.

I believe it is because of a few things.

1 Diet. yes some people say it has nothing to do with diet but a lot of people also say it does. children in china eat less greasy foods as children in America/Canada

2 hygiene. I'm not calling American/Canadian children unhygienic but due to the fact above American/Canadian children have more grease on there hands and so when they touch there face grease is transferred onto there face, clogs up there pours and so causes 'pimples'

3 it could also possibly be type of skin

pimples are so affected by diet. Prob in china they dont eat alot of greasy foods like hamburgers and frys and so on they commonly eat more healthy foods as for their skin is much more healthy than someone who would eat junk all the time

Because the following 3 ingredients in make-up, hair products, and skin care products CAUSE acne.
ESPECIALLY - Look for them in hair care products

""lanolin, analogs of isopropyl myristate, laureth-4 and D&C red dyes.""..
""One of the worse offenders is a penetrating oil called isopropyl myristate, the major ingredient in a can of penetrating rust remover, Liquid Wrench. Isopropyl myristate helps cosmetics apply more smoothly and gives them a slicker, sheer feel. hese are many chemicals similar to isopropyl myristate in cosmetics. The most common are: isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl isothermal, putty sterate, isostearyl neopentonate, myristyl myristate, decyl oleate, octyl sterate, octyl palmitate and isocetyl stearate and PPG myristyl propionate. All must be avoided, as must other surfactants such as laureth-4""

Could be genetics, if so, you're on to something valuable. But seriously, I think it is diet... and maybe skincare habits?
