Castaway Computers, Inc. a non-profit organisation in Milwaukee that recycle computers.
Although they did not say on their site, many computer recycling organisations ask a small fee $5 or $10 for monitors, as the cost of disposing not working monitors is high and can be a drain on a non-profit organisations budget.
In most of these organisatons working monitors are given or sold at low cost to different people in the community. Non working monitors go to recylcling. Sometimes the tube ending up back in the stores as a brand new TV. Some are crushed and turned into Lead Crystal ornaments and glasses.

Look in your phone book for computer repair places. They could probably use it. If it still works donate it to a school or public library.
