sounds like you might be having chronic strep infections or tonsilitis. have you been going to the doctor?

having your tonsils out is a pretty common procedure. i wouldn't worry about it too much but your first course of action should be to check with your doctor.

good luck .... and take care.

It depends. A lot of times the bacteria that makes you sick can live in your tonsils, which is why they need to remove them. If you are still young, it won't be that big of a deal - older people have more trouble recovering from tonsil removal.

I would really go see a doctor if I were you. Infections in your throat can be bad if not treated, it could even scar or affect your vocal chords causing you to lose your voice or your voice to become more raspy over time. Don't ignore the situation- I don't think its worth the gamble of having permanent damage.

Yes, recurrent tonsillitis is one of the reasons where tonsils are removed for helping a patient. Do not be upset about it as it is a simple procedure and is very safe with newer techniques in supported by equally safe techniques of anaesthesia.

Probably you are right. This happened to my daughter who is 28 years old. She had hers out after frequent sore throats and infection. She is fine now. You need to have a consult with an ENT physician.

Yes, I would recommend going to your doctor and talking to him if you haven't already. If it is your tonsils, you will want to get them removed as soon as you can.

Possibly, you may need to see a doctor. If you don't do something quick, if could get infected even worse.

I would go check with your doctor but if you start getting lumps on the side of your neck don't wait for them to go away. Go see a doctor right away.
