Yeah its true global warming may not be accellerating very fast and you may notice only small things but what about all the toxins in the water and all the rest of the pollution getting in our food chain. Don't you care about this, Don't you want clean fish to eat and what about the air and the huge jump in asthma and other respitory problems, is this not a concern, and how about the link scientist have made with pesticides and mental disorders. Im beginning to believe you people want what you can make now and your not to worried about the kids or the next generation.

I know republicans who think you can bathe in ddt and you'll be ok, they also believe carbon is not pollution and generally that most toxins are not that bad, they shruggs there shoulders and say aaawww you'll be ok. And science doesn't say the same thing.

That is completely untrue. Repubs disagree with scare tactics used by liberal scientists.

Look at Bush's actions..increased the size of the national marine park system by 350%. (One of the few things I'll give him credit for)

Wealth is derived from the earth. Minerals, fish, oil, lumber, farm products.
Economic growth is obtained by the continued exploitation of the environment.
Most people are dependent on raw materials from the earth and economic growth.
Some say growth in the world's population is contributing to many of these problems you mention. Thomas Malthus was worried about many of these same problems also.

Don't forget that republicans don't only come from the far right, there are a lot of moderates out there changing the stereotype of what a typical republican is. To say that they don't care about the next generation is a little one sided. It's like saying people who are mainly concerned about the environment are dirty tree hugging hippies.

I'm not a repub but in fairness to them they have gone along w/ a lot of the legislation that has cleaned up our environment over the past 30 years. As far as toxins pcbs and all the stuff that are obviously bad are much better than in the past. As for global warming they believe the cost in curbing it is higher than the cost of letting it take its course. They are wrong, and we need to convince them of it.

I don't think all Republicans are anti-environmental just like all Democrats are pro-environmental. I'm an ardent environmentalist and I can tell you for a fact there's been a lot of negligence done across all party lines. When big business puts people in office then big business often takes priority.

"You must be a democrat " or " I'll forgive you because you dont know what youre talking about ...", so sick I just want to go back to the alleys of Kardesh Iraq , those citizens would love to be free , here all that gets done is petty anonynmous hate .They dont believe , its simple , the motivation is what ever thier leader says is the truth . If W says eating raw hamburger would make you smarter , there would be alot of ill fated supporters .The same pagan idolitry was evident in nazi germany in the 30's . They only care about themselves , purest-fascist , censorist , elitest , and would kick a child off a life boat on the sinking Titanic to save thier own tail .

you're generalizing. that's wrong. are you a democrat? your additional comments only prove my point even more...you're slamming a whole group of people because of a label you're sticking on them. In general, I do vote republican, but not across the board. I do not follow a leader blindly, I make my choices intelligently and weigh the consequences of each choice evenly. I used to call myself Catholic, but decided to stop doing so since I no longer agree with the majority of the philosophy currently being taught. I do not, however, believe that anyone who remains a Catholic is just following a leader blindly to what they believe is heaven. I think you'd do well to heed the words of wisdom passed down through the ages...JUDGE NOT..LEST YE BE JUDGED. Is your house made of glass? I believe it is, as are most of ours.

Where do you get this? I'm going to have to start using more meds before I read anything else on here about Republicans being anti anything else. Hell yes we care about the environment.
