I used to hear peope say it was staged and faked, and I always thought "wtf, we went to the moon, its not that rediculous" but then, recently I heard the question arose once again, but behind it was a great following and they wanted to review the raw footage of it. Then, merely a week later, NASA says they seem to have misplaced or lost the original footage. Now, isn't it odd that they misplaced a direct record of the most important advance in exploration to mankind? And only a few days before professionals were going to analyze it? And why has NASA suddenly commissioned Lockheed Martin to build a craft that will put man on the moon? What does this mean? Was it really a fake? Have I been duped?

I don't think we did. Yes, it is odd. We both know why he did that. We both know what it truly means. Sounds like it was. I believe that ya have.

Here's an extremely detailed rebuttal to all the hoax avocates arguments.
http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm
It includes exhaustive analysis of the pictures taken on the moon. It points out that the astronaut can clearly be seen twisting the flag pole to make the flag wave.
It's a lot more convincing to me than the hoaxers arguments.
For one thing, radio telescopes had to track the capsule to get TV pictures. Every radio telescope team in every country was in on it? What about all the radio telescopes not officially part of the program? Any one of those could easily have detected a hoax. They'd spend billions of dollars and involve how many people to try to get away with an easily detectable hoax? And no one connected with the program has ever said it was a hoax? Wow, that's surely the greatest hoax in history (not).
It even included creating fake moon rocks that fooled all the geologists who ever examined them. Amazing how good NASA was (sarcastic).

yes. the apollo program was a great success. it had some big failures like the 3 astronauts that were burned alive while on the launch pad. it's funny how the biggest movie that was ever made about the space program was not the moon landing but apollo 13's spacecraft failure and the ingenuity to solve the problem. there were several moon landings. they drove a car around and played golf. collected a lot of rocks. then the tax payers got bored and the apollo program was cancelled. it was very successful but the public lost interest. if jerry springer goes to space one day, i'll bet we have a big increase in the interest in space.

YES
WE
DID
GO
TO
THE
MOON
The moon conspiracy is bulls hit. Anyone who really believes we didn't go to the moon is ignorant.
People that take the moon conspiracy seriously tend to be young or dumb as a doorknob.
I don't even work in the field and could debunk all claims against landing on the moon with ease.
Also, explain this; the launch was conducted live, and there were people there to watch it launch, reaching its ESCAPE VELOCITY LIVE.
So obviously IT LEFT THE PLANET! The apollo rocket WAS NOT DESIGNED TO ORBIT THE EARTH.
WHERE DID IT GO THEN IF IT DIDN"T GO TO THE MOON? XD
There were a lot of smart people involved in getting us to the moon, and a lot of hard work put in. It's kind of sad to see people that don't appriciate the genius that went into the moon missions.

Where did you hear that an "expert" was going to analize the original footage? That sounds like a lie from the moon hoax people. I have not heard of any new surge from the conspiracy theorists. All their "evidence" has been sufficiently explained.

We didn't land on Sherwood Forrest, Sherwood Forrest landed on us!(Robin Hood: Men in Tights) I really don't see why all the propaganda if we didn't. I think if we just wanted to 1up the world, we just boast about our atomics or something. I really don't think we faked it; however loosing the footage proves that even rocket scientists aren't rocket scientists... what a sec...

It's not just the lunar landings that were faked, but the whole moon is a NASA hoax. Oh yes...and the Earth is flat.

we will never truly know, but once i start training to be an astronaut, i will look for those famous foot prints, or shoe prints whatever you wanna call em. But wait, if they put a flag on the moon, wouldn't we see it w/our telescopes, i really don't think they went on the other half of the moon. i mean seriously, if we put a damn falg on the moon, shouldn't we be able to see it?? geez, this is getting more and more awkward!! anyways, im a believer, i think they went, and if not, wither way we're still gonna go to the moon sooner or later.

it is a possibility that it was a fake moon landing, or there was no Area 51 etc...it's also a possibility that other things we believe in do not exist either, it's better to have hopes and dreams then it is to try to prove them wrong... It's sad when others try to take anothers hopes & dreams away! don't feel duped into believing it wasn't real... it's a better feeling to believe it did happen !!!

Yes we actually went there, it was faked in the begining because we wanted to be first to the moon and beat the russians the russians saw it and our american flag was waving and there is no wind on the moon so they knew it was fake but we did really go after that. ANd thanks for two points! : )

I'm pretty sure we have at one point in time. Although, there is some debate because of negative evidence in the pictures.
