Most large department stores have free sessions as long as she does not mind having it done under the public gaze. They offer a discount on goods purchased too.

the best way of her learning is to note what her friends or mother is doing. it's all about copying ideas and techniques then keeping it as simple as possible. it's all in the blending.she could always go to a cosmetics counter where most of them will be able to show her how to highlight her best features and what products work best for her.

she can go to any department store makeup section or a makeup store and they do her makeup for her and teach her what products to buy and how to do it herself.
as for her hair, in my area they have classes in some salons where tehy teach you about haircare and how to do your hair. she can look around in salons and stuff.
there are also countless number of books and videos that will teach her both-- but i think an actual person teaching her would be better--so she can ask them questions.
oh btw, congrats on the wedding! but why are you still referring to her as your girlfriend and not your wife?
