its set in the early 1900s.. so theres this girl who marries this guy from a upper class family. his faily does not approve. etc.. and the guy one dya goes to visit her and its raining and he gets pnuemonia... and he gets better.. so they marry. .. and after a while he dies. this guy has a brother . this brother goes to fight in the war and loses a limb.( i think hand) and he falls in love with her,. and in the end they marry.. do you know of any movie that is like this??

it was a VERY long movie.. so it could have been like a tv movie too ..you know with like 2-3 episodes

the protagonist is the girl.. she comes from a middle class family.. her dads has like a grocery/candy store.and she has a younger sister.... who she later finds out is her half sister. tShe (the protagonist ) thinks she is ugly.. and that her parents only love her younger sister.. the sister later marries this VERY poor boy..
Like before the movie began .. this old guy was explaining it in a place filled with books.. like he was sitting in a home library and giving us like a preview of the movie..
i think its based on a book.. coz he had a book in his hand..
now that i think abt it it might have been a tv series.. with like 10 episodes.. or less
