Chinchilla's have MUCH softer fur, BUT a hamster can have soft fur, as well, and is much cheaper to get going.

I have chinchilla sand (not dust) in each of my hamster cages. They roll in it, and it cleans them very quickly. I can't believe the difference in their fur after they started using that. My dwarves are really soft after a roll in the sand.

hi :D I, as a hamster proprietor, have had maximum sorts of hamsters, except panda bears. i have had black undergo hamsters although (very, very sweet!). I listen panda undergo hammies are powerful, yet i in my opinion love teddies. they're so gorgeous, sweet, and smooth. ^-^ nicely, so a concepts as i understand, and from what i have examine, teddies are nicer. in case you get a lengthy haired hamster, that's more beneficial probable to stink, so be prepared for that. i'm especially confident that you'll purchase hamster cleansing soap at maximum puppy shops. strong success along with your hamster. :)

Chinchilla fur. I hear that you can't even wet them because their fur will fall off.
