Let's get our characters straight. Anakin Skywalker (who is seduced by the dark side of the force by the Sith) is Luke and Leia's father. He becomes Darth Vader. Episode 3 of Star Wars really shows the development of Anakin as a Jedi Knight and his secret marriage not to mentioned his impetuous nature. Vader is a terrorist, however, he has a weakness for his son and as Luke pointed out in Episode 6, he felt Vader's good side that Vader had just forgotten. Vader's final act was an act of sacrifice. A high drama end to such a tragic and wounded character.
Lucas would deny any parallels that you make, although I do not think Lucas is a fan of George Bush.

I see a lot of parallels between The Republic becoming the Empire and the U.S. before Bush and after Bush.

Darth vader was a nice guy at one point, he made a sacrifice for love. he was always good, but his lost love drew him to hate. he came thru at the end. bush has never had any good in him. its in his genetic make up. dad was same wasn't he?
