The moment I login on my computer, it is connected to the internet even though I have not asked for the same. I cancel the internet connection, but it keeps coming asking with option to connect or disconnect. How to correct this. I should get the internet connection only when I ask for it and also recurring display on the screen to connect or disconnect should be avoided.

You may have a program that has auto update option turned on. I always make that they are set to only check for updates when the computer is online. Check your various system update, virus checking, and adware checking programs to see if they are the ones trying to logon.
