A constituency is a body of voters who elects a politician. Newspapers like to talk about ethnic consituencies, or union members, or young people.

In provinces like BC and Ontario, immigrant voters would form a large constituency that more homogeneous provinces would not have. Natives in Nunavut and BC may also form a constituency that other provinces would not have.
