Distance = S, Velocity = V, Time = T

V = S/T

V = 28/30 min

Multiply x 2/2 (= 1 )

V = 28/30 x 2/2 = 56 m/60 min

V = 56 mph

as 30 minutes is half of an hour you need to double the number of miles the car travelled in half an hour to work out the speed:

28 x 2 = 56mph

30 minutes is 1/2 hour. So multiply the distance by 2.... 56 miles per hour.

28+28 = 56. 30 Minutes = 1/2 an Hour (0.5) so 28(2)=56 to get 56 as the mi.
