In the old Superman movie, when Lois Lane dies, why does it take Superman a split second to fly around the Earth, but ten minutes to fly to France???

Ha! That is hilarious. Maybe it shows his love makes him move faster. When his heartbreaks, he has to try to turn back time to heal himself. In order to heal himself, he must travel faster then to save any old dude.
