Is my friend racist or is she just expressing her opinions. Here are the two reasons why i ask?

Reason #1: She dislikes Eminem because she feels that rap music is for blacks and that white people need to stick to making country and rock 'n roll music. I told her that rap music is for anybody with the talent no matter if the person is white, black, asian, etc. REASON#2. She feels when two people in an interracial relationship have kids, she labels the kids confused children. She's against doing that, so she's against interracial relationships. What do you all think, because i think she has a problem, or is she just expressing her opinions. Give me your honest opinions.

Maybe she doesn't realize that she sounds racist. Ignorant, yes. Music isn't about race, it's about singing whatever you love to sing. Eminem can sing rap if he wants to, just as Cowboy Troy can sing country if he wants to.

As for interracial marriage, I've known *many* people with mixed heritages, and they wouldn't have it any other way. They love having two histories and two cultures they can celebrate.

You need to talk to her, most definitely. She may think she's expressing her opinions, but this is you expressing yours, and there's nothing wrong with that.

It doesn't sound like racism but just plain old ignorance that's all. Your friend just isn't very evolved for her to make comments like that. The next step would be racism though. With attitudes like that, this country will remain bogged down by stereotypes and people who think and feel the way your friend does. That shouldn't change your friendship though. She is entitled to her own opinion and you can't change her mind so don't even try to.

I dont know if she has "hate" racism but she is definately ignorant as hell, there is absolutely nothing wrong with interracial couples. Anyone that thinks the color of someones skin makes any difference in who they are is ignorant, like your friend.

If its an expression then I think she's a little too blunt..umm an opinion is something you only need to say once to get your point across..if she keeps talking about it and bringing it up then I would say she has a racial problem..

Actions are judged by intentions. We don't know what your friend's intentions are. You should try talking to her and asking her what she meant by these comments, rather than ask people to judge whether she is racist or not.
