I'm 16 years old and just under 5'11 and I weigh 140 lbs. I will start my basketball season in less than a month and my doctor has predicted that I may grow at least 3-4 more inches to 6'2 but I could be a bit taller. When I play basketball my greatest strentgh is stealing the ball and grabbing both offensive and defensive rebounds. I can usually drive my way through the hoop but I'm an inconsistent shooter. Which NBA player do you think I resemble and what position do you think I should play?

Baron Davis? Develop your court vision and you could become a Jason Kidd type all rounder. You should be at the Shooting Guard with your current skill set, but you really need to work on your passing if you're going to play seriously. You're a bit small otherwise.

None actually, you need to play and see where you fit in with the team. If the coach is worth anything, he will help you in getting the position you are best at and with his help he can make you a better player. So just wait and see.
