Ok so I have to write a paper explaining how a community affects the teachers and schools of that community. How do you classify how large a community is? How would a person find out this effects of a certain community and school they have never been to that school or community and can't find any information about it online?

The schools belong to the community and are usually run by a School Board which sets policy for the district. That Board is composed of elected citizens from the community where the schools are located. They are in charge of setting the budget, for approving the hiring and firing of personnel, and for setting all policies by which the schools are run. Thus they have much power and influence in running the schools which, of course, affects the teachers and students alike. In addition, there are usually parent organizations such as Boosters who support various endeavors of the school such as Band Boosters, Sports Boosters, or more specifically, Football Boosters. Parent Advisory Councils also exist in many schools made up of parents. Thus there are many ways in which a community affects teachers and schools.

You have it backwards!!!! Using terms like "babysitters" and "crowd control" to describe teachers does NOT reflect the hatred and bitterness towards teachers. It is a comment on how parents and administrators abuse teachers!!! Calling a teacher a babysitter is actually more of a commentary on how *some* parents treat teachers. It is the selfish parents who can't wait until school starts so they will have more free time who are the ones using teachers as babysitters, not the homeschoolers. Teachers have so many restrictions and forms to comply with that they barely get the opportunity to teach. A bloated, top-heavy bureaucracy has turned these professionals into playground guards, hall monitors and even janitors. This is the same kind of insult as treating a wife like she is a mere scrubwoman. Being called a scrubwoman does not belittle the wife at all. It exposes the husband as a bum for the horrid way he treats her.

Community consists of both young and old people,if there should be peace they hav to live in cooperation. A comm. is large not by it's peole but with their actions. A student learns from his/ her parents and teachers. However, to learn abt a comm u need ur elders help. find it by enquiring it to all peopler thru books.
