Wow, that's beautiful. Here's my take:

If you think you are in love with someone who doesn't seem to love you, you may be in love with an idea. If that person is pushing you away, or isn't loving you back, or is using you, they are taking from you. You should want to be with someone who knows you and loves you for who you are, how you make them feel, and treats you the way you deserve to be treated.

Love is work, not just a feeling. Love is a choice. Sometimes it is a hard choice, and sometimes it is very hard work. It can only be more difficult when you start with someone who doesn't really love you.

No... I don't agree. Most women are in love with the idea of love.
What most people don't realize is that love is compassion, understanding, unselfishness, humbleness, and most of all hardship.

What happens to most of use we end up falling in love with someone who dose not feel the same way about us as we do for them, but it will not always be that way.

PS. "Can't find what your looking for, if you don't even bother to look for it"

Have never heard that saying but it does sound very sane and reasonable. Good piece of advice obviously from your ancestors.
