I dono what is wrong with me, somtimes i am so very happy! I mean completly normal, and other times i feel like just crying myself to sleep. I have been so stressed out lately, just became a frshman, 2 advanced courses, and the work load is WAY stressful. plus whenever i am at school i feel like i have to impress every! so i never look forward to it, i cant jsut be myself except around my freinds. also I never sleep. I just feel like things have built up inside of me so i just POP when noone is around...which is pretty much ALL the time, my family is never home, and i am left to do nothing....kinda sucks....well what can i do to make myself happier?! And not the stupid answers like 'look deep inside yourself and see what the true source is!' <- WAY LAME! come on i need real advice...oh and i dont say 'got to a theripsit' becuz i am not CRAZY and its a waist of $ to have sum1 ask you...'how does that make you feel', uk a retarded perfession! how can i help meslef?

hmm I have in mind a really long explanation (a lot of it personal experience) but its so long I couldnt possibly put it ehre, in breif, look after number one, its ncie to just sit down occaisonally with a hot drink and mull things over, and finally, take care of yourself and chin up, bad days wont go away but every bad one has a good one :)

Hello there.
I'm sorry that you are feling that way. It sounds like you have alot of anxiety (nervousness, stress) & that can cause alot of what you are feeling, & can cause depression also. Why don't you gather your family around you, & have an open & honest talk with them about how you are feeling? You will at least, have support from your family, & that is really important. You have to share your feelings with your family. What do you enjoy doing? Maybe you can suggest, that 1 day a week, everyone gets a day to do what they enjoy most, with everyone, & then, do it! They can't help if they don't know there is a problem.
As for not being yourself, or feeling insecure, positive attitudes bring positive results! I'll bet you have so many nice qualities. Be yourself, & know that you are good, just as you are! The people who deserve to have your friendship, are the ones, that like you for who you are. Be real! You don't have to impress anyone! Look around, & be glad that you're you!!! Smiling, & thinking of nice, fun or good things to come, will also make a difference. It will pick you up. I am smiling at you :>) & wishing the rest of your day is a happy one!!!

I am not being sarcastic but truthful. Sit quietly (you can do this with no prob because you said your family is never home). Take a look around you. Thank God you are not a victim of Hurricane Katrina or 9/11. Be thankful you can complain about the things you are complaining about and then have your pity party. When it's over, go look in the mirror and say, "I love you!" then say, "God loves you!" You are better at being yourself than being anyone else. Anyone who can not accept that has a problem, not you! You have a choice to be happy or in the mood you're in...choose to change the mood to happiness. It really is just that simple!
You've got it going on! Too bad you aren't aware of it!

Honey, you're just stressed and overwhelmed. (big DUH right? *grin) You need to take measures to help yourself relax and "chill out" a little bit. Freshmen year can be soooo overwhelming and scary. It's a big big change! Find 20-30 minutes a day to do something that really relieves stress for you. Below is a link for some custom made Stress Relief tea that I'm about to purchase for myself. It's made by a certified herbalist and is supposed to be "the bomb" for stress relief. Get you some of this (it's MEGA cheap!) and then take some time each evening to go for a walk, or read a good book, or anything that just generally makes you happy. Then have you a nice cup of this tea!

I have the same problems sometimes. Being a teen can be stressful, i know for me it is. I used to think that I had to impress everybody, but now i know that if i try my best then everything will be ok. Dont worry too much about what other people think, be yourself. Maybe you could get together with your friends when you parents arnt home and just gossip, watch a movie, and just hang out. I have found that just relaxing with my friends helps me alot with my stress. Hope that I have helped you!

of course you can help yourself,the first thing to do is try and get some sleep,try all the relaxing stuff like hot baths,hot milk/chocolate drink.when you have had a sleep you will feel better.try to relax more about life.if your work load is too heavy see someone about cutting it down a bit,whats the hurry,you have got the rest of your life to get it done.no need to kill yourself doing it all in one go.chill out with mates a while.

there are people far worse off than u. u r just having 1 bad day some people have bad days 364days. just be gr8ful u have ur health family friends MONEY to go to college and get an education and gud job.
some people dont have that luxury.
when ur feelin depressed just wath CNN its sure to make u feel grateful ur u.
