I LOVE the Sims 2 because it is totally limitless what you can do in the game. If you play the game straight, you can create experimental families which each have their own stories. Like a single mom with 3 kids who falls in love with a guy who is a great cook and quite the dancer. Or you can create a oldie who adopts a child and does everything they can to help that child on the road to being a millionaire.
There are lots of challenges. One I am playing is a type of black widow challenge, where a goth woman marries sim after sim and murders each of them and has a child by each. Her goal is to never work a single day in her life, and to choose the richest guys to marry. Her children of course, grow up to be 'black widows' and as long as I'm not tired of the craziness, they spread into the village and take the curse with them. :)

You can build the most awesome dream houses from Anime type oriental things, to stuff that looks like the Sydney opera house. Or a house from your childhood memories. Even something cool like the Space Port

If you're a very creative director type and figure out how to set up props and use your Sims camera, you can make beautiful movies like this one (takes a long time to download but it's gorgeous)

I think its the best game ever. I have the Sims 1 too, and love that game, but Sims 2 gives you genetics of your children, and new pets are coming. It's just a really amazing game. :)

I very own the Sims 2, yet i offered it 2 years in the past. the place I stay (Ontario, Canada), they do no longer even sell the unique Sims 2 game anymore, extremely they have The Sims 2 Deluxe, and The Sims 2 Double Deluxe; so possibly this is why you should no longer locate it. Anyhoo, confident, you do want the unique Sims 2 or the two video games I indexed above or The Sims 2 holiday version with a view to play any strengthen Packs or Stuff Packs.

It's definitely addicting...I loose all track of time when I am playing it, I started playing it last night at about 10pm and when I finished I looked at the clock and it was 2am! I couldn't believe it lol.
