The plumber was supposed to be here this 'morning' and now it is almost 1:00pm and he's still not here. How long do I wait before I say screw it and go shopping?? (It is not a plumbing emergency)

well did you try to call the plumber again, if he didnt give you a time then thats not good either, morning for some people is 4am :)
and for others its 11
next time be sure to get an actual time for him to show, also ask if he has a buisness cell that you could contact him if he wont be at his regular business phone, id say yeah you should have gone shopping by this point, but id leave a note, telling him youll reschedule,

when i do service calls, if im over a half hour late with out calling a homeowner and they end up leaving or hiring somone else, oh well, my fault, everyone has a phone... give the guy 30 mins past his arival time then forget him.
